I’m hyped up again…

Another tuesday morning in the office avoiding work, I’m quite thirsty but don’t feel like socialising with the people in the kitchen area.  I’ll wait until they go.

Earlier on the train  I spent the whole journey as always staring at my iphone, nosing around on Facebook and checking the latest news on IGN.  It wasn’t very comfortable as some guy with an oversized puffy jacket reading a newspaper was almost pushing me to the edge of my seat.  I really do hate inconsiderate people.  And the fact I have long legs always makes the train journeys into work extremely uncomfortable, especially if the guy sitting opposite is also extremely tall.

Anyway the majority of time on my phone was spent reading the Forums of the latest big game to excite me, The Old Republic.  An online Star Wars game with hundreds of hours of storytelling and gameplay.  It really looks amazing, but it hasn’t even got a release date and already I’m shaking in anticipation 😦

Last year the same thing happened with Red Dead Redemption, the amazing western that actually lived up to the hype.  In the run-up to release I spent weeks (or maybe months) lurking the forums, trying to find new information to satisfy me.  When I finally got to play the game I was completely sucked into the gameworld, they got the atmosphere completely spot-on.

I guess now the game of 2011 to hype me up will be the Old Republic (there is another game I’m hyped about, The Elder Scrolls Skyrim, but thats not due until November).

I have no doubt that over the coming months I will be drip-fed teaser trailers and gaming articles, hyping me up until I explode.  As soon as I get paid I will probably pre-order the game, which will hopefully come out in Spring.   Does it annoy you when you have to wait for something?  Don’t you just hate ‘time’?  I have patience for alot of things, I’m quite a laid-back guy, but when it comes to computer games there is no waiting.

Hmm the kitchen is now clear, and I need a drink.

Wait, does the nav block sit on the footer for this theme? That's bold.
