Today is another grey day. On Sunday we had beautiful clear skies, but the week so far has been grey, and it really gets to me when London looks so glum. We have grey roads, grey pavements, grey lamposts and grey buildings. Mix that all in with a grey sky and you don’t get much to look at.
One building though that always impresses me even on a grey day is The Shard. Ever since I started my job in London Bridge just over a year ago I’ve been walking past the construction site, and to see everything develop before me is amazing. I wonder what it was like back in the day witnessing the construction of Big Ben or Tower Bridge? We do have the greatest city in the world, its just a shame about the weather. A message to global warming, please hurry up!
This evening Mirel is taking me to the Theater to see Chicago. I’m not sure what to expect from it, I haven’t seen the movie, and generally I’m not a fan of musicals. I will enjoy a strong drink beforehand which will hopefully make it easier for the show to win me over.
Oh yeah when I was walking to the train station this morning a woman on the other side of road tripped onto the floor with a mighty superman pose. It did look painful but with me being English I pretended I didn’t see it. I then suddenly felt guilty and figured I should see if she was ok, but as I turned to help she was gone. I looked up the road both ways and nobody was there. A glitch in the Matrix? Probably.
