I have a holiday to Mallorca coming up and I’m very excited. I haven’t yet got round to packing, and I haven’t got my Euros sorted either. Some people may say I’m lazy, but they forget its human nature to leave things until the last-minute.
One thing I won’t be packing for this holiday is sun-screen. I’m seriously fed up of the stuff, and I’m pretty sure it’s all just a Government conspiracy to get you to part with your money. If cavemen could cope with the Sun then why can’t we?
I also find it awkward putting the stuff on my back. I could get a friend to put it on for me, but the majority of my friends going on holiday are men, and I don’t want a man rubbing my back. If God gave us an extra hand on our back to rub the hard to reach places, then maybe I would believe in the need for sun-screen. But sadly God didn’t think that far ahead, so I’m going without.
I’m currently typing this from my desk at work, where from my window I can see the Sun shining brightly with various people relaxing outside. It makes me wish I was a benefits cheat or someone like that who wasn’t stuck in an office, and could go out and sunbathe whenever the weather was good.
Hopefully on holiday I’ll break my arm or something, then I can claim some sick-leave and sunbathe on weekdays.
As you can tell I’m quite restless at work, I just want to get out of here and head straight to the airport. I know its cool being excited for something but surely feeling excited just gets in the way of what you’re meant to be doing now? I never realised how much of an obstacle it was.
Ah well, I guess my excitement might dim slightly if I imagine my plane crashing. I always get nervous at the beginning of a flight, I analyse the wings for any scratches, and whenever the flight suffers turbulence I check to see the look on the cabin crews faces. If the cabin crew look worried, then you should be worried.
Anyway to end on a lighter note, next week will be amazing.
Thankyou
