So I’m shopping in my local supermarket when the lady on the tannoy makes a staff announcement.
“Can the indoor housekeeper please attend alsie 19”.

I’m not sure why they can’t just call the housekeeper a cleaner. Surely the main duty of their job is to clean?
I’d find it quite patronising if I was given a poncy name just to make myself feel better.

I had a friend who worked in a sandwich shop where he spent the majority of his time making sandwiches, his job title was ‘Sandwich Artist’. Where is the art in a cheese sandwich??
