Intrigue is a good excuse

Just imagine if you woke up one day to find nude photos of yourself had appeared in a French magazine. How horrified would you feel?
I think I would feel traumatised (especially if they were taken on a cold day) and I probably wouldn’t leave the house for a few weeks due to the embarrassment of it all.

When I first heard there were topless paparazzi photos of Kate Middleton, a part of me felt sorry that our future Queen would have her dignity taken away from her like that. She of course has every right to sunbathe topless in private.
Another part of me though felt a sense of intrigue, so much so that I decided to go on Google and search for the images. However I was disappointed to find the images were blurry and of low-resolution. It was as if it was the camera that was used for those Lock Ness Monster and UFO flying saucer sightings.

As i watched the story unfold on BBC news this morning, they interviewed a few respectable middle-aged men who were “Royal Correspondents”. I’m not actually sure how you become a Royal Corespondent, but I presume they help out with the babysitting and wash the dishes from time to time. They all expressed their outrage at this breach of privacy, and were flabbergasted that this French Magazine would publish such photos. Though I’m sure in the back of their minds they probably just wished the photographer had a better lens.

When one of the men confirmed the image was authentic, I saw a glint in his eye that said, “that Prince William is one lucky sod”.

Of course, he wasn’t being perverted, he was just intrigued. Or was he? I guess we’ll never know, I’m sure there are greater mysteries in the world.
