So the Wii U will arrive here in Europe at the end of the month. For a long time it was a console I didn’t really care for, all the press coverage passed me by and I didn’t really get hyped up over it like I do with most gadgets. I thought to myself that this was a sign of myself growing up, that this was a new me who realised there were better things to do than waste time and money on computer games.

But now that’s all changed. The Wii U was released today in America and all of a sudden I cannot stop reading and watching anything to do with Nintendo. Damn my lack of strength, desire and willingness to move on from the amazement that is computer game entertainment.

On the bright side all the retailers seem to be sold out, and they’ll probably be shortages in the run-up to Christmas so my wallet can rest easy for now…
