TV Shows and Games

So after a well-earned rest from work I’m now back in the office and wondering when my next week off will be.
I know thats the wrong attitude to have, and I should be looking forward to working everyday until I’m old and frail, but for some reason I just cannot find the enthusiasm for it.

However I can find plenty of enthusiasm for TV shows, and Monday night I watched the latest episode of The Walking Dead, a show which in my opinion has been steadily falling downhill and only seems to pick up when they kill off main characters. The writers seem to enjoy pulling off little shocks like that, however soon I fear we will run out of characters to care about which will probably spell the end of my interest in the show.

Last weekend I was luckily enough to play the SimCity Beta. There have been a few complaints from fans regarding the small city sizes and the need to always be online, which I agree with, especially when the servers go down for maintenance. However I couldn’t fault the gameplay and the music that just somehow fits perfectly.

I’ve actually found my passion for games has dwindled recently. The Old Republic and Skyrim were massive disappointments for me after all the hype I followed, and more recent games such as Assassins Creed 3 were just boring. However Simcity looks like a game I’ll happily lose weeks of my life to.

Speaking of more games, I am eagerly awaiting the announcement of the new Playstation tonight. Though whilst I am looking forward to seeing some next-gen games in action, I am hoping they have something unique to reveal rather than just a faster and more powerful machine.

On another note, I couldn’t help but notice that Bradley Cooper is slowly beginning to resemble Steven Spielberg. I have a strange feeling that in 10-20 years time he will portray Spielberg in an Oscar nominated movie. If this strange feeling comes true then you heard it here first.

Wait, does the nav block sit on the footer for this theme? That's bold.
