To Shave Or Not To Shave?

It’s frustrating when you feel offended at something that shouldn’t really bother you. I’m not sure if offended is even the right word, but last week my manager at work noticed I had a beard and said I looked quite trendy.

I know it doesn’t matter, but i grew beards long before it became fashionable to do so. But now I’m being made to feel like I’m only growing a beard because a few thousand guys from Shoreditch have them. Yes lots of men these days have beards, but if the next trend was to stuff tampons in your ear then I’m sure they’d do that, and I’m sure I wouldn’t.

I know people say it doesn’t matter what other people think, but secretly to all of us it probably does.

So tonight when I go home, do I shave or not? Well, I’m getting married this Saturday so maybe I should. But then again, I like my beard. Is it ok to have a beard/stubble when getting married? Will I regret the beard when I look back on my wedding photos?

Women think they have problems, but at least they only have to worry about which makeup to put on and whether to have their hair up or down. They should be thankful (and I guess us men should be thankful too) that they don’t grow facial hair. Though then again, maybe in this world of diversity and everybody wanting to be equal etc etc, maybe they want to grow beards as well?  Everybody seemed to love that Eurovision singer with the beard who only won because of her beard.

Anyway, I’m still feeling as confused as I was before I wrote this. Actually I’m now even more confused, so I’ll stop now.
