For my birthday, we were at a pool hall in Liverpool Street, and pool halls typically attract bone headed manly men. They love to play pool, drink a few beers, and just generally be manly. Thankfully there wasn’t too many of those here.
The waitress was delivering drinks, and mistakenly delivered a couple of pints of beer to our area, which were meant for the guys on the table next to us.
My wife asked if they were for them, and one of them broadened his chest, took a deep breath, and in a forced grisly voice he said, “potentially, yeah”.
They were perfectly polite, despite the odd choice of wording. I’m just wondering how much effort it takes to constantly broaden your chest and deepen your voice just to say the most simplest of things.
